Choices start with the question “How has Corona Virus affected you and your family” ? A question many can answer as it has been a worldwide issue affecting many.
François Bessing has teamed up with the Soweto Gospel Choir for one of the finest tracks to grace the airwaves in recent times. This new track ticks all of my boxes once again.
It is his catchy synth hooks and driving rhythm arrangements which pull me in every time. ‘Choices’ follows a similar direction to his previous hits but the new flavour which Francois brings to the party is refreshing.
Taking a new angle with his vocal stands out in the modern chart and I believe it works very well. Musically, ‘Choices’ is a gift with a myriad of sounds popping out in the mix. Also, the structure regularly changes with the pace picking up before gently taking us back down to land. Additionally, the track hits the melting point with ease with the bass dropping with colossal effect.
Overall, this track is contagious. Furthermore, it has a melody which cements itself deep, and the harmonies echo around the brain well after listening. So much so, it is magnetic with it influencing us to hit the replay button to get one more fix.

What inspired you to get into music?
I felt it was something that my family enjoyed which made my dad happy.
How would you describe your music?
African/Classical/Electronic Pop
What would you say is your recording and song writing style?
My songwriting style tends to be elemental. Nature inspires me but so does love and heartbreak. I think pain creates some of the most beautiful things in our world. I like great melodies that send chills down spines.
Where would you like to see your music career in 5 years time?
In 5 years time I want to be a professional singer and songwriter sharing my melodies with the world, inspiring new music, new stories, new faith. I’d want to do my part to heal the world.
